Why this bill became ‘controversial’ is something that I cannot fathom.
The catholic community dennounces this bill while the state is being careful on passing this bill because this would eventually come back to them in a form of less votes because this country’s voting mentality has turned into block voting.
The strange thing about this whole commotion is that the bill doesnt even legalize abortion or is leaning towards it. It’s basically something that would enhance education amongst the Filipino people about reproductivity and proper family planning. It may contain something about free choice in using contraceptives as an option, and it’s basically about educating. (will soon look into it more)
This is becoming a problem because this country is slowly becoming over populated and crowded. Not mentioning that a big chunk of it is our less fortunate brothers out there. And I’d shamelessly say (upon observation not as a fact) that the group of people that are dennouncing this said bill isn’t even doing something to help the kids in the streets.
These kids are being forced to work overtime selling flowers and forced to overcome hunger by doing actions that would endanger their health. Why? because they have no choice. They would like to study but out of need they need to help their family to eat. Adding the intense inflation that our times are bringing it’s just about time that we need to educate them that this is not practical. Having 4 or more children in a family that can’t feed a person simply shouldn’t think about bringing another member into this world. Harsh, I agree but something needs to be done for their own good aswell.
I’m not saying yes to abortion, no, infact I am against abortion. I’m saying that we should be wise about reproducing. If they really enjoy doing “it”, within marriage by all means they should… but they should be wise in forming another person.
I’m just saying that these parties should sit down and reason this out if they want to reach a conclusion. I’m sure one party is just not getting the whole deal about this bill.
